Schedules that
don't collide.
Generate conflict-free timetables for VTU-affiliated colleges. Input your constraints, get a working schedule in seconds.
Three steps to a finished schedule.
1. Import your data
Upload courses, faculty, rooms, and timings via Excel or manual entry. The system validates everything before you proceed.
2. Generate
The constraint solver finds a valid schedule that respects room capacities, faculty availability, and time slots.
3. Export
Download as PDF or share directly. Faculty and section views are included automatically.
No more manual shuffling.
The solver handles room conflicts, faculty double-bookings, and section overlaps automatically. Set your constraints once, regenerate as needed.
- Room capacity matching
- Faculty availability windows
- Lab and lecture separation

Per-instructor schedules.
Each faculty member sees only their timetable. Filter by instructor, section, or course. Export individual PDFs for distribution.

Common questions, short answers.
What is vPlan?
vPlan is a free timetable scheduling tool built for VTU-affiliated colleges. It takes your courses, faculty, rooms, and time slots as input and generates a conflict-free timetable in seconds.
Is it really free?
Yes. vPlan is free for all VTU-affiliated colleges. There are no charges, no premium plans, and no "contact sales" gate. Sign up and start generating timetables.
How does the scheduling work?
vPlan uses a constraint-based solver (CSP) combined with a local search optimizer. You define your constraints — room capacities, faculty availability, time windows — and the solver finds a valid schedule that satisfies all of them. No manual shuffling required.
Can I upload my existing data?
Absolutely. vPlan supports Excel import for courses, instructors, rooms, and meeting times. We also provide downloadable templates so your data is pre-formatted correctly.
What if a faculty member is on leave?
Just update the faculty availability or remove them from the schedule and regenerate. The solver adapts to the new constraints without requiring you to rebuild the timetable from scratch.
Do you support Google Sign-In?
Google Sign-In is on our roadmap. Currently, you can register with an email and password. We plan to add OAuth login options in a future release.
Can I contribute to the project?
We welcome contributions. Whether it's bug reports, feature suggestions, or documentation improvements — open an issue or reach out. Every bit helps.
Is my data safe?
We take security seriously. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are securely hashed, and we implement session protection, XSS prevention, and clickjacking guards. See our Privacy Policy for details.
