1. The export options

Once your timetable is generated, vPlan gives you several ways to get it out into the world. Each one serves a different audience:

Section PDF

A print-ready, one-page timetable for a single section — perfect for classroom notice boards.

Faculty PDF

Every instructor's weekly schedule in one document — great for staff communication.

Excel export

Editable spreadsheet versions for college systems, further tweaks, or archival.

2. Section-wise PDF

  1. Open the generated timetable and pick the section you want — for example CSE — Section A.
  2. Click the PDF action next to that section.
  3. vPlan renders a clean, print-ready layout with the section name, days, and time slots.
  4. Download, print, and pin it to the classroom board.

3. Faculty-wise PDF

  1. From the generated timetable, choose Faculty Timetable.
  2. Review each instructor's week to spot gaps or imbalances at a glance.
  3. Export the faculty PDF to share every teacher's schedule in one file.
  4. Send it to the staff group, or print per-teacher pages for the staff room.

Tip: the faculty view is also your best quality check. A balanced week here means a timetable students will actually enjoy.

4. Excel export

When a PDF isn't enough, use the Excel export:

  • Get the schedule as spreadsheet data you can reorder, color-code, or merge into other documents.
  • Use it to push the timetable into college management systems that expect spreadsheet input.
  • Keep a copy as your historical archive for previous semesters.

Excel exports preserve the grid structure — days across the top, time slots down the side — so they stay readable even after you edit them.

5. Share & publish

  • Notice boards — section PDFs, printed A4 or A3.
  • Staff — faculty PDFs over email or the college group.
  • Students — share the section PDF in class groups; the one-page format reads perfectly on phones.
  • Administration — Excel exports for records, reports, and exam-cell coordination.

Whatever format your college needs, vPlan has an export that fits.
